Poppyseed Dressing

About the Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup vegan mayonnaise

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons maple syrup or agave nectar

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion

1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Salt and pepper to taste

2-3 tablespoons water (to adjust consistency)

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, whisk together vegan mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, maple syrup

    or agave nectar, apple cider vinegar, and finely chopped red onion.

  2. Stir in poppy seeds and mix well to distribute them evenly throughout the

    dressing.

  3. Season the dressing with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the sweetness

    or acidity if needed.

  4. If the dressing is too thick, you can adjust the consistency by adding 2-3

    tablespoons of water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your

    desired thickness.

  5. Refrigerate the dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the

    flavors to meld.

  6. Give the dressing a final stir before serving. Drizzle it over your favorite

    salads, fruit salads, or coleslaw.

  7. Store any leftover dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for

    up to one week.
